THE PROCESS

HOW IT WORKS

As soon as you have booked your venue, it's best to get in touch to check my availability. Dates can book up quickly, and as it's just myself running the show, I do limit the number of cakes I make each week to ensure I can give each one the love and attention it deserves.

If you like my style and know you would like me to make your wedding cake, then you can secure your date in my diary with a non-refundable booking fee of £100.00. which will be deducted from your final balance.

We usually finalise the design of your wedding cake closer to the date of your wedding as your ideas and vision can change during the planning process and it’s best to have your colours, flowers and décor style sorted first.

Have a little read through the steps below

to see how the process usually works...

Stencilled Cake in Floral Crown B&W

1. Get in touch...

Complete the enquiry form which will enable me to check my availability for your wedding date.

Your answers will also help me to get a feel for the sort of cake you're after,

and determine if we could work well together to design your perfect Wedding Cake.

It would be really helpful to see any inspirational images or mood-boards you may have saved in the past -

these can be emailed to me directly at featherscakery@hotmail.com

2. Secure your date!

Once we've discussed the initial details and a rough design, I'll be able to give you an estimated price.

After this, you are welcome to secure your date with a non-refundable booking fee of £100.00

Cake tasting is optional, however if you would like to sample a selection of my flavours (either before or after booking) then twice a year (typically March/November) I offer Taster Boxes for local collection or UK wide postal.

These boxes will include 6 of the most popular flavours from my menu for you to taste and enjoy at home.

They are charged at £40.00 (including p&p) and will be posted to you via Royal Mail Tracked 24

The samples will be at their best for up to 4 days - however I recommend eating them on the day they are delivered.

(Taster Boxes contain GLUTEN, EGGS, DAIRY, NUTS & SOYA)

3. Final Details

After you've had a chance to try some samples, we'll confirm what flavour(s) you would like for your cake and together we'll make sure that you're 100% happy with your proposed design. At this stage, we can also discuss the set up and styling.

How you present your wedding cake is just as important as the cake itself, and I have a range of cake stands available to hire to complement your cake design. I can also work alongside your stylist to ensure that your cake is the centerpiece of your reception.

Gone are the days of hiding the cake in the corner of the room!

One month prior to your wedding date, your final balance is due.

At this point we'll confirm everything to make sure it’s all correct, and discuss the delivery timings for the day.

Now the countdown is on to seeing your cake in real life!
I will be doing lots of things behind the scenes such as liaising with your florist, stylist and venue.

All you need to do is sit back, relax and enjoy your big day... oh and make sure you have a slice of cake, or two!
